From left to right: MAC Rebel, Charlottle Tilbury Birkin Brown, Topshop Boardroom, Topshop Straight Ace and Bare Minerals Pink Champagne

I'm jumping on the blogging bandwagon and I've decided I actually really do love Autumn, and with this new found love, I am giving you my Top 5 Autumn Lipsticks. I'm totally all over lip colours in the colder months because I naturally gravitate to darker shades as you can tell from my top 5. MAC Rebel is a blogger favourite and we all love this berry shade. I usually wear it with MAC Currant lip liner underneath to make it much darker but Rebel on its own is stunning. I've only just bought Charlotte Tilbury Birkin Brown and I fully blame Katie from Gold Dust for this purchase. I am totally in love with this matte chocolate brown that was inspired by Naomi Campbell and can't stop popping it on. I've had Topshop Boardroom for a while and it's another dark brown nude shade that I can't get enough of. This is a lot cooler than Birkin Brown so it brings a new shade into my top 5. Another Topshop lipstick has creeped its way in in the shade of Straight Ace, a creamy finish in an absolutely out of this world shade. I definitely needed a bright purple in this post because it's a shade I love! The final lipstick is Bare Minerals Pink Champagne; I wanted to add a shade that is very everyday and easy to wear. Pink Champagne is obviously a pink shade but it has elements of darkness to it which obviously I love.

Do you have an Autumn favourite?

My MAC Lipstick Collection

I've always loved reading about blogger's MAC lipstick collection but I always thought my minuscule collection wasn't worth blogging about but over the past couple of months, I've added a few to my collection and I think I've now got myself something to blog about.

Picture of My MAC Lipstick Collection
From front to back: Morange (Amplified), Red Balloon (Amplified), Girl About Town (Amplified), Viva Glam Nicki (Satin), Sunny Seoul (Cremesheen), Viva Glam Gaga (Lustre), Creme De La Femme (Frost), Up The Amp (Amplified), Rebel (Satin) and Spirit (Satin)

Everyday: My favourite everyday MAC lipstick has to be Spirit. It's an amazing 'my lips but better' shade for me and it's constantly in my bag as an easy go to shade. Spirit is a Satin finish, so it glides onto the lips with absolute ease, making it even more perfect for the day. I also wear Sunny Seoul, a Cremesheen finish, a lot as well just because it's a really easy pink to wear. I do find it needs a lot of building but when it's on, it's lovely!

Evening: I always seem to gravitate to Up The Amp for my evening shade and I think it's because it's such a lovely lavender colour. I think it's a little bit different so I like to make a bit of a statement with it. The finish is Amplified so, much like Morange, you don't need to build the colour up to make an impact, it's already there for you.

Summer: Morange is definitely an amazing Summer shade and I would recommend it to anyone if they are after a really bright lipstick! An Amplified finish, this MAC lipstick is super pigmented and it doesn't take much to be incredibly in your face. Perfect for such a bright shade.

Autumn: If you don't have Rebel tucked away in your collection, get it immediately. It's a lovely berry finish and is a lovely colour for the Autumn months. The finish is Satin so it glides on really nicely but I always make sure I've scrubbed the lips down to it sits nicely.

Do you have a favourite in my collection?

The Lipstick Tag

Picture of MAC Girl About Town Lipstick

I've never really done a blogger tag before but when I saw this on Paula's (La Vida Fresa) lovely blog I thought I'd give it a go! Who doesn't love a lipstick in the blogging community?!

1. How many lipsticks do you own?
I don't know off the top of my head but it has to be around 30!

2. What was the first lipstick you owned?
The first one I owned was an Estee Lauder my mum kindly gave me but the first one I bought for myself was Rimmel - Pink Blush.

3. What is your favourite lipstick brand?
Do you even need to ask?! It has to be MAC. Forever and always.

4. What is your most worn lipstick?
MAC - Sunny Seoul

5. What is your favourite finish?
If we're talking MAC finishes, I prefer Cremesheen but I do have a fondness for matte as well.

6. What was the last lipstick you bought?
Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Shameless

7. How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
I think I have 2 lipsticks, 1 Chubby Stick and 2 lipbalms.

8. What is your favourite red lip colour?
I don't wear a red lip. I just don't think it suits me!

9. How do you store your lipsticks?
I have a 9 part acrylic storage for my favourites and the rest go in a lovely Monopoly tin!

10. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after?
The only one I really want is MAC Heroine!

I hope you like this tag and you go on a have a go yourself!

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious (£7.99) - Boots

When I went into Boots I wasn't expecting to come out with one of these babies, yet here I am, jumping on the bandwagon and feeling absolutely fantastic about it. As soon as I saw the shades I knew it was going to be either Audacious or Shameless (dark purple) but this beautiful orange shade went straight into my basket. Am I feeling summer too early? Revlon have hit a home run AGAIN and I will be going back to pick up some more. The 'Chubby Stick' tube ticks all the boxes and this shade is absolutely stunning. Even though in the pictures it is slightly muted on the lips, it is a little brighter in real life. To be fair, it does slightly wear down to this shade after a couple of hours and I like it that way. Onto the longevity of this, and it is lovely. It lasted a 4 hour shift a work nicely with somebody commenting on it right at the end of my shift. Nice work Revlon. Just a quick note though, if you didn't like the original smell of peppermint, which I love, I'd steer clear of them again. Now onto the matte-ness of them, it's definitely goes on and stays matte. Another box ticked in my opinion. Okay, I think you guys get it now, I love love love these and I urge you to go running to your nearest Boots and pick one up now!

Have you grabbed one yet? Will you be picking a shade up?

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Galaxy

Swatch of Rimmel Apocalips in Galaxy
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Galaxy (£5.99) - Boots

Let's face it, I was always going to jump on the bandwagon for a new lip product and I am rather glad I did on this occasion. Rimmel's Apocalips has definitely had its fair share of exposure in the bloggersphere but I really understand why it has. Galaxy is a deep pink/plum colour which is perfect for day to day for me as I like deep plum for something a little different to my normal pinky tones. First up, I love the packaging, so astro-cool which I LOVE. The meteor lid just adds to the whole thing. Now onto the actual product, the pigmentation is absolutely amazing with one swipe you're good to go and the wand that comes with it actually is better than I thought it would be. The small hole in the wand holds the extra product that you'll need so you don't use any extra product. Longevity wise, I can't fault it. It lasts for hours even with eating and drinking, it actually astounded me how well it actually lasted. I genuinely want to buy the rest of the range and now do own 3 more thanks to the lovely Lisa from Topaz & May

Have you tried any of the Apocalips range? What did you think? Do you want to try them?

MAC Rebel and Currant: Review

MAC Rebel Lipstick and Currant Lip Pencil (£14 & £11.50) - MAC

Recently, I popped into Selfridges to spend the last of my Christmas money and I knew that I wanted to try another MAC lipstick. I chose 3 to try on, Syrup (which just turned out to be the colour of my lips), Girl About Town (which now I want next) and Rebel which I came home with (obviouslyyyy) I'd seen a few reviews and I was rather iffy to be frank but I thought I'd give it a go but in my mind thinking 'oh it'll definitely be Girl About Town'. Oh how I was SO wrong, Rebel is the most gorgeous deep berry shade with MAC calling it a 'Midtonal Cream Plum'. I LOVE it, so much. The longevity is good, around 3 hours without eating or drinking but let's face it, all lipsticks are like that and it really does feel like satin on the lips, something I'm rather liking but I don't think it'll beat Cremesheen, but it's close! It doesn't accentuate the dry bits but I still wouldn't prep beforehand. Now onto Currant, the first of many MAC Lip Pencils. The lovely girl that helped me brought it over for me to have a gander at because they are usually bought together and I can see why. Currant and Rebel are the perfect love affair, bringing out the deepness in Rebel but still keeping the plum berryness (because that's an adjective!) and it'll go with a few of my darker shades as well. I'm thinking money well spent here!

Have you ever tried Rebel? Got a MAC shade you really want right now?

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream in Cotton Candy: Review

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream in Cotton Candy (£2.99) - Boots

This. This product is an absolute bargain. Run to the hills (or your local Boots) and shout it from the rooftops (or just pick one up)! I picked this up on a whim one day and I am so glad I did. Such a lovely lip product to use and pop in your bag. What's great about this is how long it lasts and the way it dry matte on the lips but isn't in any way harsh for your lips. It's nourishing, moisturising and such a gorgeous colour for day and night. The way it is packaged you think this is a gloss but don't be fooled, this will be part of your day to day life now!

MAC Up The Amp Lipstick: Review

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in Up The Amp (£14) - MAC

Recently, I won this lipstick, along with a gorgeous MAC eye shadow palette from Zoe's wonderful blog and  I am literally, 100% in love with my choice of lipstick. I am loving purple toned lip colours at the moment and this one is claimed to be a 'lavender violet' by MAC. On the lips, this is a toned down violet colour, leaning more towards pink, such an easy colour to wear in the day along with moving into the night. The pigmentation is crazy good as well, I'd never tried this finish before and found it to be rather thick to go on, and very creamy but rather hydrating at the same time. I thought myself that the longevity of the product was okay, but nothing amazing but I can live with that for such a pretty colour! I just think this lipstick is on the sweet end of purple, one that will suit practically every skin tone and is just that little bit more out there than your normal pink lippie. If you're at the MAC counter, give this a swatch, you won't be disappointed.

Have you tried Up The Amp? What do you think?

Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipstick in Mystic: Review

Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipstick in 783 - Mystic (£4.99) - Superdrug

Welcome to my collection of lip products, you liiiiiiike?! Actually, I think you should, it's rather snazzy if I say so myself. Okay, I know I have a slight problem but of all the obsessions in the world, is lipstick hording really so bad?! I didn't think so. Onto the next pretty tube of colour wonderfulness, Sleek's Mystic matte lipstick. I bought this whilst buying the infamous Rose Gold blush and boy oh boy, I am so glad I did. It's such a pretty colour that I really can't get enough of it. Lovely and matte, true to it's word, this lipstick doesn't stick to any dry bits I have (but to be fair, I do always prime my lips first!) and does stick around for good few hours, around 3 without eating. It's not a one slick and I'm ready lipstick, you do have to work at it but once you do the colour is beautiful. A light purple with a pink/blue undertone. Very bright but very manageable  perfect for the season we're in right now if you're sick to the back teeth of berry/red shades.

What do you think of this lipstick? Tried Sleek's lipsticks before?
