Welcome home...

So, for my first post back from a very long time away from the bloggersphere I'm going to give you a recap of the past two months. As a lot of you know, I've just finished my undergraduate degree in English at Edge Hill University and because of silly situations in my second year, I had to work extra hard this year to be able to come out with a grade that I, myself, would be happy with. I know myself that I did this, now just to wait for the classification at the end of the month which is killing me but hey ho, let's go!

I'm just going to give a handful of photos just to sum it all up, but hey, they have been my life the past two months!

As you can probably tell, the first one is what took up the majority time, my dissertation. I've never felt so protective of a piece of work than this. Makes sense seeing as I was working on it for 9 months but yeah, I'm really proud of that piece of work, and I get develop it in my MA which is really exciting. The next three pictures are from Graduation Ball. An evening of ridiculously expensive drink and some of the best people in the world, some you can see. First up is David and I, dressed for an evening at Aintree Racecourse, I have to admit, he looks damn good in a suit! Last up is one of my favourite pictures of the evening. All of these girls made a significant difference to my university life, and are, I hope, friends for life. Thank you girls. And thank you to everybody at university I consider a friend, you're all top notch!

Well, just a quick update from me, and now that this post is out there, breaking the ice and easing myself back into the blogging world expect this here site to be back up for business!

What's In Your Pocket? - Moneysupermarket.com Blogger Challenge

Recently, I was contacted by Money Supermarket to join them in their latest blogger challenge, 'What's In Your Pocket?' This challenge/competition was based on celebrating 'life's little wins' and it all began with a few hidden cameras and sneaky money exchanges from hand to somebody's pocket. The cameras captured the reactions of the lucky few when they found £20 hidden in their pocket. Can you imagine how good that felt? We all love that 'Oh I forgot about that!' feeling! Well, going with that feeling, Money Supermarket decided to give a collection of bloggers £20 to spend as they pleased, giving them or somebody close to them that feel-good feeling. Now, I'm a lowly third year university student so when I was contacted I knew EXACTLY where that £20 was going, to my absolutely wonderful mother. It's Mother's Day, incredibly soon and I knew that I could actually afford to buy her something lovely. My mum's presents are in the above bag and including card, pink bag and two presents the total came to £20.50. So close but I could definitely stretch that 50p! Along with the £20, the most creative blog from the chosen bloggers will win £200! If I won it'd go straight to my Masters fund! Before I leave you all just a quick thank you to Money Supermarket for choosing me to be a part of this, it was so much fun being able to buy my mum something special hopefully giving her the feel-good feeling as well!

Graze Day!

So, I have been a lover of graze boxes for a while now and seeing as I got a box today, I think I will share it with you guys!

The whole shabang! I love how great the boxes look in themselves. They always contain a little leaflet with all the nutritional info and a little face about one thing in the box. This week; pistachios! Mmm, pistachios. The whole box is fully recyclable so no excuses!

Honeycomb flapjack: I've not actually tried this one yet and I am SO excited, and at 239 calories, a lovely little desert which will go great with a cup of good ol' tea :)

Mississipi barbeque pistachios: Now, I have had these before and they are so good that one the graze rating system they were definitely a 'love'! I can't get enough of these beautiful little nuts! Only 185 per punnet so a perfect little pick me up in the day!

Smoky red pepper gazpacho dip: I've not had this dip in a while but from what I can remember (and rated!) this was YUMMY and only 55 calories. Does it get better than that, really?!

Texan Corn Salsa: I've not actually had this one before so I will definitely have to tell you how this one is but it looks like my kinda punnet with it containing salsa almonds, black beans and roasted maize, and at 134 calories, no harm done :)

Now, if graze looks like something you want to try how about you use a little magic code off me to claim a free box? ;) And this is how it's done:
1. Go to graze.com
2. Enter this code: 35569C1D
3. Tell them where you are and what you like!
4. DONE! :D

Lots of love,
Sia xxx

Introduction to me!

Well, hi there.

My name is Anastasia but everybody calls me Sia and this is my blog! I've not got an amazing amount to say but what I usually say has some meaning to it so here we go!

What to expect: a little bit of everything really. Book reviews will be on the list because I have to read a minimum of 30 novels by October. Horrendous, I know but today I finished my second year as an English student at Edge Hill University so I'm getting a leg up with all my (ridiculous) reading so a lot of classic novels will read so a lot book reviews will be written. I'm also wanting to do purchases posts, and just my life in writing to be honest.

Writing is one of my favourite things to do so a blog seemed to be the best way to go seeing as I'm not onto writing a best selling novel just yet.

I hope you all enjoy my ramblings :)

Lots of love,
Sia xx
