Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Razor: Review*

Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Razor* // Boots (£8.40)

Guys, it's razor season again and let's face it, we all want that smooth feeling in the summer months (wait, all the months! Nothing is better than that feeling of smooth legs on fresh sheets, am I right?) and Wilkinson Sword have come up with a really great razor for that feeling. I'm not usually one for this kind of review but I've been looking for a razor like this for a while. I HATE shaving, I really do but this razor has 5 curving blades and a water activated serum so not only does it get super close, but it puts moisture back into the skin. I have stupidly dry skin (everywhereeee) so I obviously have to moisturise like crazy but I have found that my skin is a lot better after shaving with this razor, and the fact that it gets super close is lovely because it gives me an extra day where I don't have to think about shaving again.

The moisturising serum is full of marine extracts and shea butter and I do love a bit of shea butter in my life. We all want convenience in our life, especially when it comes to the boring stuff and I'm one of those women that just finds this stuff to take up a little too much time so when I find something that gives me back some time, I love it. I'd definitely recommend the Hydro Silk Razor to anyone because it's definitely the best I've used in ages!

Are you a shaver, or a waxer?

Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream (£20) - Feel Unique

Have you ever found an eye cream that immediately became part of your routine and you feel instantly in love? Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream is a smooth, brightening and moisturising eye cream that had helped the skin around my eyes so much. I have dry skin, so I need to be completely on top of my skincare routine, especially around my eyes, which can get very dry. Since using this eye cream twice a day, I've seen a difference in how my under eyes look. The vitamin C that is part of the wild rose plant has helped correct the texture around my eyes, making it a lot softer. This has just made applying concealer that much easier and keeping my makeup looking great. All in all, my dark circles have significantly decreased, the dryness is kept under wrapped and the texture of my skin has become so much nicer. All I can tell you is that I'm really enjoying using this product and the benefits I'm getting from using it everyday and if you need something that gives you all of this, go for it. You can get it from Feel Unique (here) and ASOS (oh hello student discount) so just pop it in your next haul.

Relaxing with Dove DermaSpa*

Dove is a brand that every single one of us have used at one point in our lives and they are a beauty staple for a reason. They have an item for every beauty need and at a reasonable price and have made it into everybody's bedroom. When I was asked to review Dove's new DermaSpa range, I was really excited. I already know I can trust Dove and the new range looked really interesting.

Dove DermaSpa is meant to bring all the beauty greatness of the spa home to your bedroom and Dove have released the new DermaSpa range with a few differences in each item. Part of the 'goodness' branch of DermaSpa I was given the Indulgent Hand Treatment and Silky Body Oil. The hand treatment combines dermatological care with the ultimate pamper and it truly is a lovely hand treatment. I have awful dry hands and this sinks in almost instantly and leaves your hands feeling velvety soft and smelling of vanilla, musk and coconut; what's not to love? The second 'goodness' item is the Silky Body Oil; another great item for dry skin. Containing natural seed oils, the Silky Body Oil sinks into the skin and leaves everything hydrated and oh so soft.

For tanning moisturisers, Dove have always been my go to so I was really happy to see the Summer Revived Body Lotion with Self-Tanners. There are two colours; Light to Medium and Medium to Dark and I have to say, I really like this version of the moisturising self tanner. The smell is gorgeous and moisturises really nicely and is just as good as the other self tanners I've used from Dove.

The second in the Dove DermaSpa is 'Uplifted' which contains the Satin Smooth Body Oil and Massaging Body Roll On. Seriously, I'm never going to have dry skin again, thanks Dove. The Satin Smooth Body Oil helps dry skin but also is for improved elasticity and firmness. This is such a pleasure to use especially with the scent of water lilies, musk and cucumber which is so refreshing. I usually use this one in the morning, and the Goodness Silky Body Oil in the evening. The Uplifted Massaging Body Roll On is again is great for improving elasticity and firmness, especially with the massaging roller ball to relax you completely. This baby has relaxed me completely every time I've used it and I think I'm going to keep this in my collection for a while.

Evening Skincare

Picture of my Evening Skincare

Yesterday, I blogged about my morning skincare so why the heck wouldn't I blog about my evening skincare as well. Evening skincare is where I go all out and give my dry skin a good old pamper in order to keep it at bay for the next day. Dry skin is a daily battle for me and I pop in items like oils and masks which quench my skin's insatiable thirst.

A lot of my routine is the pimped up version of my morning routine but with few bits; including make up removal, a facial oil and an intensive mask. I use Clarins Instant Eye Make Up Remover and Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water to remove the bulk of my make up first; a first cleanse and move to my trusty Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish to do my second cleanse and have skin squeaky clean for the next step. Lush Eau Roma Water Toner Water is a lovely toner and I can't get enough of it. You can read about the majority of this routine in yesterday's post so I'll just talk about the added extras. Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Face Oil is a lovely lightweight oil that sinks in beautifully without feeling sticky and every dry patch instantly melts away. I also seem to be using Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask more often than not at the minute. I think a very light layer most nights is what is helping me the most with my dry skin and keeping my skin looking at its best.

I've obviously got a couple of bits of skincare that are only for a couple of nights a week and these come in the form of Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator and Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner. These two are used sparingly but really do their job to a tee. The Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator is full of cocoa butter and fine jojoba beads that gently rub away anything you don't want around but making sure your skin is nourished at the same time. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner is a toner I use a couple of times a week just to brighten everything up. It does make my face ever so slightly dry but nothing that can't be fixed with my Origins mask.

Morning Skincare

Since starting blogging skincare has become a daily part of my life and you crazy lot have me spending a lot my wages on the best skincare you can get. I really enjoy using different skincare and trying everything from masks to cleansers. Oh it's all rather exciting

Picture of my Morning Skincare

For me, morning skincare has to be quick and easy. I like my bed way too much to get up and have a crazy routine going. I've got used to my routine and because of my dry skin, I do have to have a couple of bits like my Origins Plantcription Anti-Aging Power Serum. Now, I'm not really looking at anti-aging products just yet, but this sample really helps with my dry skin in the morning and makes my skin a little more bouncy. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is a standard for me and I don't see that changing, and paired with Lush Eau Roma Water Toner Water, it's a match made in heaven. My skin doesn't feel tight which happens with so many different cleansers and toners. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + is a blogging cult classic, and I know why. If I don't use it for a couple of days I can see a real difference in the redness of my skin and calming blemishes down. I love this stuff and have a back up already. My go to eye cream is the Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer and I really do like it, it's made a small difference in my dark circles but it really sits well under concealer making it great in the morning. As for moisturiser, I've done a full post on the Clarins Daily Energizer Cream and you can read it here. It's a lovely cream moisturiser that is perfect in the morning during the colder months, so I'm loving it right now. As for little stick on the end, that is going to get it's own review soon as I think it might turn out to be a stick of pure eyebrow magic!

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster (£26) - Clarins

I've been using Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster for a while now and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. I've not been on holiday for a while now (seriously, 4 years is WAY too long) and I needed a self tanner that was for the face as well. Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster is a self tanner that you mix with your own moisturiser and can tailored to how dark you want it. I usually pop one or two drops into my moisturiser and I'm good to go. The usual self tan smell is there, but isn't noticeable for me and it lasts for so long seeing as you only need one or two drops whenever you're feeling a tad pale. It suits all skin types and contains aloe vera to ensure the tan lasts as long as possible.

In this bottle 15ml bottle, we're talking around 3 months usage if you're applying every night but if you fancy an understated holiday glow; I'd say use this every night for a few days (around 4 or 5 nights) and then keep topping up every 3 days or so. It all depends on the kind of glow you're going for but I'm sure this will slot into your beauty routine so easily. Clarins have also released Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster for the body making it even easier to get a streak free tan all year around.

Have you tried Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster?
