It is now the morning of the sixth guest post on Dainty Desires and today it is Clare from A Bit of This and That who is taking over! Clare has a lovely blog, which I enjoy reading very much so I think you should definitely give it a look see :) Now onto Clare herself!

Hello Lovely People,
My name is Clare and I live over at A Bit of This and That blog here in the lovely blogsphere. I’m a relatively new blogger (I’ve
only been blogging since the end of June) but I enjoy blogging and have met
some amazingly lovely people through my blog. Make up wise, most of my make up
is drugstore (i.e Boots and Superdrug), with only a couple of slightly more
expensive product thrown in for good measure. Most purchases have come through
recommendations and reviews from blogs, YouTube videos etc so I’m always on the
look out.
Today, I come to you with a post which I have seen on a few
blogs and thought that I would like to have a go at it. It is all about if
someone stole/if you lost your entire make up collection, what would you
repurchase. The thought alone of having no make up frightens me, as it is such
an obsession of mine, an obsession that has only got worse since I started
blogging so picking up new make up would be a must.
I thought long and hard about what I would buy and I came up
with five items. Out of these items I have two foundations, a concealer, a
mascara and an eye shadow palette. Here they are:
When I began thinking about what foundation I would
repurchase I immediately thought about Rimmel’s Wake Me Up. Its one of my
favourite foundations, I’ve ever found. I’ve written a post (http://ateeniebitofthisandthat.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/my-favourite-foundation-of-moment.html)
all about so I won’t go into it now, just know that I love it.
The second foundation that I chosen is Bare Minerals SPF 15
Foundation. This is the most expensive thing on my list as this has a price tag
of £18 on feelunique (which is where I bought mine from). Bare Minerals
foundation, for people who don’t know are a power formula highly pigmented
mineral make up. I like this foundation because it feels light on the face but
also helps to make your face look lovely. I like to use this foundation alone
during the summer as it is lighter than other foundations but I also like using
it over the top of another foundation/BB cream on days when I need another
layer to cover the horribleness of my face. For these reasons, I would buy this
again if someone took it.
Concealer:
I have quite a few concealers, you could call me a
concealaholic. So out of all the categories, this is the most difficult to
decide on a favourite. However the one that ended at the top of my leader board
was the Collection 2000 (although I believe they’re calling themselves just
Collection now) Lasting Perfection Concealer. Why you ask? Well its relatively
cheap (currently around £4 in boots), it hides dark circles and covers
blemishes and it is also long lasting. A close second in my favourites is the
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer.
Mascara:
The mascara that I would pick to buy again is the one that I
wear most, which is the Rimmel Sexy Curves. This mascara claims to make lashes
fuller and curvier. I think in a way it does this, but I use this mascara
mostly because it makes my natural lashes just look that little bit better. I’m
currently debating getting Benefit’s They’re Real but I can’t be brave enough
to take the plunge. Any reviews would be useful.
Eye shadow Palette:
The final thing that I would choose to repurchase was the
easiest pick out of the lot. The eye shadow palette that I would get would most
definitely be the Undressed Palette from MUA. Why you ask? Well because as many
people in the blogging in the world have said, it is a dupe of the Urban Decay
Naked Palette, which is around £30 and this lovely little palette is £4. It is highly
pigmented, has a mix of matt and glittery shades and is a brilliant little
palette for day to day looks but also brilliant for night looks, when you want
to get your groove on. I love this little palette and for £4 you can’t go
wrong. It has introduced me to a brand that I hadn’t really considered before
and I am now looking forward to trying other things from the brand.
P.S I have a review
of this on my blog if you would like to see (http://ateeniebitofthisandthat.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/mua-undressed-palette.html)
So there you go, if I had to buy 5 pieces of make up it
would be these. What would be your 5? I’d be interested to know.
If you have enjoyed my ramblings, you can find me at
ateeniebitofthisandthat.blogspot.co.uk or on twitter @abotat90, I’d love to
hear from you. Thank you to Anastasia for giving me the opportunity to chat to
you lovely people.
Till Next Time,
C
