Guest Post: Top 5 Moisturisers by Sophia from Tattooed Tealady

So, I'm on my holiday and this is the first of a few guest posts I have lined up for you, my lovely readers. First up is the lovely Sophia from Tattooed Tealady. In all seriousness, check out this girl's blog, it's absolutely phenomenal and one of my daily reads, I adore it. Now I give you Sophia :)

---------- ♥ ----------

Hi everyone! My name is Sophia and I run a little blog called Tattooed Tealady where I blog about every aspect of beauty, with a few lifestyle posts and book reviews thrown in the mix! Today I am here to write a guest post for the beautiful Anastasia. Me and Anastasia actually got chatting before we began following each other’s blogs. We are both Cypriot which got us talking on Twitter one night and she’s such a lovely girl to know and call a friend. I am super happy to write this guest post for her blog today and I hope you will all like it!

How Well Do You Treat Your Skin?

Whether you have dry, sensitive, normal, oily or combination skin, using a good moisturiser is a hugely important step in your skincare routine. Moisturising makes sure your skin stays young and supple, it helps control any skin concerns and issues you have and one of the biggest factors if you are a makeup obsessive like me, is that it really makes your makeup apply and look better. But do you mix up your moisturisers? For years I got in to a routine of using the exact same moisturiser, morning and night. My skin became too used to the moisturiser and it just wasn’t effective any more. Since starting my blog, trying new brands and learning new tips and tricks for skincare, I have learnt that changing your moisturiser does your skin the World of good. These are my top five moisturisers for both day and night which I use the most (yes, five!!) Just for a heads up, I have oily combination skin, but four out of five of these moisturisers are suitable for absolutely any skin type and any skin concerns.

Nourish Skincare Balance Essential Moisturiser

This moisturiser is my favourite for everyday use both in the morning and at night. Nourish Skincare have four ranges, each dealing with a different skin type. The Balance range is orientated around oily and combination skin and the Balance range has literally changed my life where my skin is concerned. The Nourish Skincare Balance Essential Moisturiser smells deliciously of fresh apples, applies easily and sinks in quickly. It leaves my skin looking and feeling soft, supple and nourished and keeps my oil at bay!

Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream

I adore rose moisturisers. In fact I love any product with rose in it because it’s a scent I adore. I really like using rose moisturisers at night, because they are a nice, soothing treat for my skin. But I was recently lucky enough to try a few Weleda products and this was one of them. The Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Day Cream is a joy to use. It smells gorgeous, it applies easily and it sinks in so fast! It leaves a slightly mattifying effect on the skin, but is still moisturising enough to be perfect for applying your makeup!

L’Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream

I got a generous sized sample of this in one of my beauty boxes and I adore it. The L’Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream is light, very moisturising and perfect for using either in the morning or at night. If I use this in the morning, it’s on days when I don’t wear makeup. It leaves my skin feeling so super soft! I adore it. It also has a really fresh and clean scent to it.

Whenever I have had a hectic week or my skin has been suffering, I like to use super moisturising, pampering moisturisers. The next two moisturisers are my favourite for just that!

Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream

I love avocados, and I’ve always known they are super good for your health, but I never realised they were good for your skin until I tried this. The Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream, is a thick moisturising that has a very subtle scent and works to restore your skin overnight. Sinking in quickly, it works to promote collagen production and regeneration of healthy cells and whenever I use it I always wake up with super soft, smooth skin!

Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream

This is very new to my collection but I am already in love. A super thick moisturiser, it is perfect after a night of pampering. It has a subtle sweet scent to it and sinks in to the sink quickly and easily. All the way from Budapest, the Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream moisturiser leaves your skin replenished, smoothed, soft and supple. I think it’s my favourite night time moisturiser right now!

So those are my top moisturisers for both day time and night time. I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe will think about changing things up in your skincare routine! I’d love to hear what you think, whether you’ve tried any of these or whether you think you might! You can find me over on my own blog which is Tattooed Tealady, and I also co-run a weight-loss blog called Bloggers Go Skinny. Alternatively, you can also find me on Twitter, I’m always happy to chat so send me a tweet @tattooedtealady!
