One of favourite things to do is to jump on a train and go and have a look at different places of England and one of my favourite places is definitely Chester. I don't know if you lovely readers know this, but I am a big fat history nerd. Roman and Tudor being my favourite periods, and Chester has an abundance of both. Now, I've been to Chester a few times, but my dad hadn't at all and me and the other half decided it was his time. We took him to the Roman Amphitheatre, Roman Gardens, Grosvenor Museum and we walked the walls around the historic part of the city. I can never get enough of this city, and I don't think I ever will. If you have never been, and you're there on a lovely day like yesterday then I urge you to walk the walls. You see the entire city, the River Dee and the Cathedral.
Do you like to visit different cities?
I love this post! I think people forget far too often how much the UK has to offer. I've always wanted to visit Chester and judging by your photos, it looks like a beautiful place! It also reminds me a lot of York which is rich in history and has walls surrounding it too as well as a beautiful river and a Cathedral - I think you'd like York!

I really agree Louise. Until a few years ago I didn't have any idea about what the UK has to offer until my other half took me to York for our 1 year anniversary! We're going back for our 4 year anniversary and I CAN'T WAIT. I adore York, it's like Mummy Chester, haha! I can't wait to do a ghost walk and do the crypts in the Minster!
DeleteI have never been to Chester although I have heard it's a nice place to visit. These pictures are really nice, I like finding historical places within the modern day.
