London is now officially one of my favourite places, period. The other half and I just spent 3 lovely nights in our capital and I really did not want to leave. What I love about London the most is that round every corner, there is a piece of history. As much as I love Manchester, that kind of thing just isn't rife, which is why I'm constantly visiting cities like Chester, York and London. We are complete history nerds, meaning we visited Clink Prison, Shakespeare's Globe, St Paul's Cathedral and the British Museum, along with countless pubs on the way. My favourite was definitely Shakespeare's Globe, literature and history in one place, heck to the yes! I was actually lucky enough to sit in on a dress rehearsal of The Merchant of Venice, my favourite Shakespeare play. Seriously, I looked like the Cheshire Cat, it was the best 10 minutes of my life. If you're into the more gruesome side of London's history, definitely pay Clink Prison a visit. I don't usually get creeped out by things like that but even I was a little green faced by some of the things that happened in there. Food wise, we visited Bodean's BBQ in Tower Hill, The Diner in Covent Garden and Joe's Southern Kitchen also in Covent Garden. If you're ever in London, go to Joe's, it's actually heaven. The Mac & Cheese doesn't get better, and the pulled pork is to die for. All in all, I had an amazing time celebrating my upcoming 5 year anniversary in one of our favourite places. We're already planning our return.

Do you love London as much as us? What's your favouite place?
