2009 - 19 years old (with my cousin - on holiday in Skiathos)
2010: 20 years old - Rivington Pike, Horwich
2011: 21 years old - Rome
2012: 22 years old - Northumberland
4 years of my life in 4 pictures which also tracks my weight unfortunately. Going up and up leading me to 2012, 3 stone heavier than in 2009 and incredibly unhappy with my weight. Looking back, I thought I was overweight in 2009, a steady 9 stone (126lbs) so now, you can probably guess how horrible I feel at 11 stone (154 lbs) I bet you're all thinking 'waaaaah, 11 stone, that's not TOO much' but I am only 5ft tall, practically nothing off the ground and I should be around 8 stone (112lbs) to be the healthy weight range! I've always been a fluctuate with my weight, according to how active I am at the time and during my time at college, I was teeny tiny and didn't even know it. I was always active, and not in the conventional sense either. I went to gigs, 3 times a week at least! I'd walk at least 40 minutes to the venue, then walk around the venue waiting, then jump up and down for around 2 hours, you catch the drift, ACTIVE and as soon as that stopped and uni began, HELLO WEIGHT GAIN. Add in the fact that I could drink, I got into a fantastic relationship and felt incredibly happy, oh you know what I'm going to say next. I indulged in food, and didn't move, nothing to say but a bad combination!
Moneysupermarket.com are currently holding a 'Get Fit, Feel Epic' competition and through The Black Pearl Blog this shall be my entry!
Now, how am I going to 'Get Fit, Feel Epic'? A few things are on my agenda!
1) Gym, 3 times a week, no excuses. I love the gym, a lot. It's just getting there that does gets me. I'm lazy and really need to sort myself out so my friend will be dragging me there, kicking and screaming!
2) Zumba, twice a week. My uni has a gym attached, and does classes, including the one and only Zumba! I've been before, and it's brilliant, just the laziness again!
3) Healthy home-cooked meals. I love cooking so I'll definitely be trying to cook more, and healthier. I'm also going to try and cut out most meat, add more fish and quorn and replace milk with soya milk.
4) Have an off day every 2 weeks where I'll have a take away and enjoy every morsel!
I think by doing these 4 things I'm going to definitely get fit, and feel epic. Especially for one event in the recent future. I have 4 months till my Graduation and Graduation Ball and I want to look amazing. A little superficial but I missed my high school prom as I was severely bullied and didn't have any friends to go with and missed my college prom as I was really ill and couldn't make it to buy a ticket. So this is my last chance to don a beautiful dress, walk into a gorgeous venue on the arm of my fiance and dance all night with my friends that I may not see again for a while!
I'M ON THIS!
Good for you! You should definitely track your progress on here, it'd be great to see how you're getting on! xo
