Good afternoon my dears, hope you're enjoying the Jubilee weekend and you have a few days off. Alas, I am in work tomorrow and Tuesday but not to worry, I most definitely need the money for spending money for my 2 week holiday in September. 93 days and counting!
But over the past few days I have been slightly naughty and did a little bit of shopping. Nothing extremely extravagant but I really needed to let off a bit of retail steam and of course, I will be showing you guys what I bought, you all secretly are dying to know and nosey into my purchases. First up, magazine freebies! We all love a freebie and the distinct lack of Glamour magazines on the shelves tell me we all all love a bit of Benefit as well!
Glamour July - £2 // The POREfessional PRO balm ~ BAD gal mascara ~ "that gal" brightening face primer
I think we all know that in Glamour magazine this month we all are given a lovely Benefit freebie and even though it's only little I'm not too bothered, it's free and little and cute! I only got The POREfessional freebie as I think the whole of Manchester had ran out of That Gal primer which made me a little sad but ah well.
Marie Claire July - 2 magazines for £6 in WHSmiths // Ciaté Purple Sherbet (lilac) ~ Bon bon (nude) ~ Jelly Bean (bright pink) {RRP £9}
Marie Claire are also doing a give away this month and I definitely jumped on this one. Out of the 3 colours of nail polishes available, the one that floated my boat was Purple Sherbet. It's a lovely soft pastel lilac colour which on, looks so girly and fun. And let's face it, the bottle is beautiful with the little bow on the front. I bought Marie Claire on offer in WHSmiths with InStyle magazine and saved myself around £1.80 (I think)
InStyle July - 2 magazines for £6 in WHSmiths // The Body Shop Eye Definer 01 Black & 06 French Navy {RRP £16} ~ The Body Shop Big and Curvy Mascara {RRP £10}
Seeing the offer of 2 magazines for £6 on selected magazines in WHSmiths I also left with InStyle magazine which either contained 2 eye liners which I chose or a mascara, all from The Body Shop. I've not all tried any make up from The Body Shop and I thought it was probably the best time to try it now!
So in the end, I spent £8 on 4 new items and 3 magazines, good stuff!
Now onto items that unfortunately weren't a freebie!
Almay Pure Blends blush - 200 Orchid - £1 Poundworld
Okay, now I had no idea about this brand until I wandered into Poundworld with my parents and I was looking for some £1 Rimmel or Revlon products but my mum found this for me and told me that when she was my age she always wanted some Almay products so I thought I'd give it a whirl, and for a £1, you can't really go wrong. The packaging is rather basic but I do love that the lid has a hidden magnetic clasp that shuts it tight. Once I give it a good go I'll tell you guys if it's worth trying any more of the brand!
Simple kind to skin hydrating light moisturiser - £3.79 Boots
I desperately needed a new moisturiser and whilst I was in Boots I was on the hunt for one I liked the look of and didn't break the bank so I settled on this one. I've been using it for a couple of days and I've seen a difference. I'll use it till the end of the bottle which is a fair amount of product for the price and see how I and my skin feels.
Fierce Black Skull Sandal - Miss Selfridge £28
My dad, my wonderful dad bought me these beauties today and I think I could have cried in the middle of Outfit. I have been lusting for these since seeing them on the website and they even made it on my wishlist this week. The simplicity of the sandals and the little skull just make them perfect for the summer and my summer holiday!
Vanilla Ginger Lipbalm - H&M £1.99
This lipbalm smells absolutely amazing, I am totally happy with it even though the only reason I actually bought it was because I loved the little tin. It's just so pretty!
That's all folks!
Love the haul, those sandals are really cute! :)
